Why one shot too many?

In my follow-up to Bitesized’s intro, I too would like to open up with a bang (not literal) and give you some background on who I am and why we have created this blog. With a name like “Confessions from the morning after,” we’ve got to deliver on the goods. That being, sex and scandal. Just kidding. Kind of. So by now, I’m sure you are curious as to why I have chosen “1shot2many” as my nickname and yes, it is for the obvious reason. You’ll soon come to realize that many of my dating misfortunes are a result of one shot too many.

While Bitesized has chosen so humbly to share her dating handicaps, I think I will go the route of giving you a glimpse of who I am and let you come to your own conclusions as to why I am stunted when it comes to men (or boys). Although I think it’s safe to assume that the vodka tonic contributed its fair share.

So, this is me in 30 seconds:

- Former wannabe marine biologist and/or journalist/photographer, current aspiring physician.
- Born in Shanghai, raised in Bethesda, living in Washington D.C. A city girl at heart.
- Has single-handedly donated close to $1500 to the DC government via parking tickets.
- On my way to becoming an alcoholic like all the cool kids.
- I have daddy issues. As in, he wasn’t there.
- I also have mommy issues. As in, she’s always there.

One shot too many, ten pounds from perfect, this is the diary of the often reckless, always shameless girl that we each have inside of us. So, with this blog, Bitesized and I hope to regale you with our disastrous, yet often hilarious, dating horror stories through all our insecurities and neuroses. While this journey has often times been hurtful, sad and filled with regret, we would not be who we are today without these experiences.
